Flying balloons brings us immense joy. But even more, we love sharing this joy with others. That’s the main reason why we are intensely involved in training hot air balloon pilots. We know that becoming a pilot requires a lot of personal effort and dedication, so our mission is to make your path to the desired qualification as pleasant as possible. You just need to come (and learn), and we will take care of everything else.
Balloon Castle is the only professional pilot school focused on comprehensive training for hot air balloon pilots in the Czech Republic. In addition to basic training for obtaining the balloon pilot license, we provide training for practically all additional qualifications and privileges of hot air balloon pilots.
We have extensive experience with balloon pilot training. Since we started training in 2007, many dozens of students have passed through our school, often becoming experienced and respected pilots. Some of our students even teach flying at our school today!
We are aware that the training itself requires the student’s full commitment and concentration. Therefore, we try to simplify the path to the desired qualification as much as possible by planning and organizing the entire training, ensuring that the candidate does not get lost anywhere or in any way. The environment of the Castle, adapted for training purposes, provides everything needed for training - accommodation and meals, classrooms, a starting meadow, and even a filling station. This facility (which you will find in very few places) simplifies life not only for students but especially for their instructors, who can fully focus on training. Our fleet of modern training balloons of the Kubíček brand is a given that does not need to be mentioned.
The surroundings of the castle offer an open landscape ideal for training. It is varied, allowing for the practice of various flight situations under different meteorological conditions. This ensures that the pilot is always prepared to handle each flight, which always takes place under unique conditions. This is the essence of balloon flying.
To provide a truly complete service, we also have qualifications for testing – so you will not only complete the training with us, but we will also test you, and then you just need to go to the Aviation Register for your new license.

Possibly the most active female pilot in the Czech Republic at the moment, Monika is certainly the most active instructor. You will find nothing but a smile on her face, even in the most tense situations.

He is a factory test pilot at Kubíček Balloons. He is the author of the training methodology used in our pilot school. And he is also an examiner for all conceivable qualifications.
